If you have a suggestion for a superhero's theme, please drop me a line here (and/or a link to an mp3 if you think I might not have the tune) and I'll get back to you. Cyborg from the Teen Titans is complete and Apollo from The Authority is underway via my new automated Photoshop process. *New skins are in the process of being created for new characters. *Stats are in the process of being gathered and are about 65% complete. *Some of the advertisement and fed-specific video screens have been replaced. *All backstage and ringside banners have been created and replaced. *All characters created in the game have been sorted into the various feds. (This doesn't include stats or movesets.) Some still have some graphic defects, but will be addressed in the near future. *All characters that were done previously have been adjusted and created in the game. I've recently found more skins and will likely be revisiting and/or replacing some of the old skins as appropriate/needed, but at the moment, here's where I'm at in terms of progress: and probably more stuff that I'm forgetting.īack in the day- this started on the original Wrestling MPire- I completed about 200 sets of superhero skins, 7 of which were never released (Kalibak, Magma, Warlock, Firestar, Cyber, The Eel, and Professor X), converting them from custom skins made for the Freedom Force RPG. *Rewritten promos, so they don't sound quite so lame while you're playing through single player. Green Goblin's pumpkin bombs are the SHIT. *Custom coding that allows for giant and tiny characters (think Galactus, Giant Man, Goliath, the Atom, etc.) *Texture replacements for the arenas and backstage, etc. *As many appropriate theme songs as I can find, as well as other tunes that sound superheroish *Different movesets for each character (at least, I hope- lotta work) *Stats converted from RPG game stats & other statistical sources *7 different feds 3 Marvel (New York/Avengers, Westchester/X-Men & Spider-Man, and Galactic), 2 DC (Metropolis/JLA and Gotham/Batman), Image/Wildstorm, and an OCW/Miscellaneous "Wrestling School" fed, as well as "Lost Between Dimensions" (where Free Agents go) and the Realm of the Dead *At least 180 wrestlers, some featuring multiple outfits (I think I have like 6 Iron Mans in the game, and 4 Beasts, Angel/Archangels and Supermen) Originally I was aiming for having 200 wrestlers in the game, and I was only doing wrestler skins. For those that missed it the first time around (about 3 years ago, I think), it's basically a total conversion mod for the game, converting it into a superhero wrestling game- something I've wanted to make since I was in 6th grade. I don't see any reason to believe he's "done with the game", as it's still consistently receiving updates. So I'm back at work on the Superhero Beatdown mod for Wrestling Mpire 08/TWC 4. This is the compromise that everybody has been waiting for, so I can indeed promote it whenever you're ready to do so." "I also like how it adds to the existing installation without ever replacing it. "Please elaborate on your solution when it's ready, however, and I'll see if it's something I can either recommend or include officially." "I do normally like to expose the media for people to edit, but that doesn't come naturally to Unity and I haven't yet found a satisfactory way to do it." He does actually seem to care about modding, and here are some quotes from our mail exchange to prove that: Right now the game is quite difficult to mod due to obfuscation and the code generally not being receptive to major changes, but I'm experienced and dedicated enough to work through that. He also asked me if there's anything he can do on his end to make the game more modder friendly. The idea for this type of mod support came from me, not from Mat.
